Our First Thanksgivng

So this was our first year to host Thanksgiving, our first Thanksgiving in our new house, our first year to spend Thanksgiving with my parents, and Jaiden's first year to taste the food at Thanksgiving. We both wanted it to be perfect, and minus a dinning room table we wanted to have and family members who were not able to be with us this year it really was great. We had a wonderful day and have so many things to be thankful for. The week started off with my parents coming to town. I think it has been almost 5 years since I have had Thanksgiving with them so I was very excited!! I had Wednesday off so we ran some last minute errands and then started cooking. David and I were able to leave Jaiden with my parents and sneak away to find ourselves some new dishes which I have been wanting since we moved in together. On Thanksgiving day Stephen, Acasha, Savannah and Kelley all came and hung out with us in the morning. Nicci and Matt came for dinner which I think turned out pretty good. The food was really good...Thank you Nicci for the veggies, awesome stuffing, pies and wine, Acasha for the pumkin cheesecake, and my mom for the all of my favorites. Jaiden was so funny as usual. Even though she had everything on her plate she kept wanting to go to the serving table and pick out something new or that she thought she did not have. We missed everyone who was unable to make it with us this year but were very thankful to have a piece of both families around us. My sister and her family joined us late that night and spent the rest of the weekend in Denver with us. We spent the weekend just hanging out and relaxing together. The house gets a little crazy with that many people around but it is so nice to be able to have them all stay here at our house and to be around them.
A few things I am thankful for:
I am so thankful that David and I have such wonderful families and that we are able to have them around so much. I am very thankful for David in my life and all the wonderful ways he loves me, supports me and makes my life complete. I am very thankful for Jaiden who makes my days brighter, always brings a smile to my face and fills my heart. I am thankful for my parents for loving me, teaching me how to be a good person in all I do in life, and providing me with love and support through everything. I am thankful for my brother sister and their families for their constant love and friendship. I am thankful for David's family for accepting me for me, being amazing and supporting David. I am also thankful for my girlfriends who are always there for me no matter how long it's been since I have talked to them or seen them, who also accept me for who I am and love me no matter what. And last of all I am thankful to be here and have such wonderful individuals around me everyday!

Daddy's Texas Fan!

Just an updated picture of Jaiden. We also occasionally put them on our gallery so you can click to view it on the link in the blog.....Hope all is well.

SO MUCH TO DO SO LITTLE TIME!!

Do you just ever want to scream? I do, Today especially.......just a little overwhelmed with the usual weekend and weekday ratrace we find ourselves in. I have so much to do so much that it's easier to just sit down at the computer, update our blog, check email, and respond to email then it is to figure out where to start. It's that time of year when everything seems to pile ontop of you and man am I feeling it!! I think our whole family is feeling it. Updating has definitly been in the bottom of the pile for sure so sorry! We are just running crazy!!
Jaiden is growing quickly and again her vocabulary increases overnight. She has repeated almost everything David or I have said and that's not always a good thing. She has had a terrible fever since yesterday, had to be catherterized, and was awake with me at 4a.m. this morning. I just wish when our babies or going through so much pain there was something we could do to take it away. I am sure the doctor thought I was crazy as I cried just as much as she did during her test. I told the Dr. once that being a mother was the greatest thing ever. She said to me "It is the greatest pleasure and the greatest pain that life will give you." I completely understand. You have new pleasures and joys in life and all at the same time new worries and yes sometimes pain" It's worth every minute to me though. She is so wonderful!!
So about the Kings lately. We are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house and currently we are frantically searching for a new dinning room table. We have been taking our time filling our new house with furniture and we are both pretty picky when it comes to what we want. It's not a bad thing it just sometimes causes the extra stress. My parents will be joining us and I am so excited!! It has been I believe 5 years since I have spent a Thanksgiving with them. We will be heading to Wyoming for Christmas and I am really excited, but at the same time I am sad for David. I know how hard it is to spend the Holidays away from family and learning new traditions. Tonight is his company Christmas party at the Westin so it should be a lot of fun. I will definitely take some pictures to share with everyone. The last thing we are in the middle of is wedding planning. It is just around the corner and with the Holidays it will be here sooner then we both know it. We are getting excited and stressed and all those fun things, but the planning is going well for now. I have my first dress fitting over Thanksgiving weekend and my mom will be here for that. And my bridesmaids dresses are half way completed, we still need to figure out the guys attire, but that shouldn't be to hard. I will keep you all updated as the planning falls together. I hope everyone else is doing good!!!

New Link for Pictures

Well, things here are busy as ever. I just wanted to add the link for our family album so it's easier to access. I think most of you have it but if not it's now on there. This weekend Jaiden was so funny playing in the leaves and trying to jump off the garden wall. It's pretty high up and she did not want my help of course. Everyday is a new day with her. She wakes up every morning with a whole new vocabulary. This morning when David asked her if she was hungry she actually told him "I Not" and shook her head no. It's so amazing to me how fast it all happens. I love this stage with her but every stage has been my favorite. I am ready for another little one and she sure could use a little brother or sister. It will be interesting to see how she will interact and change when that happens. After the wedding though.

Halloween!

Last night was so much fun!! At first Jaiden was a little scared but after the first couple of houses she had it down and walked right up to each house. She was so funny, she would not let anyone hold her candy bucket and when someone handed her the candy she wanted it handed to her so she could drop it in herself. Miss independence!! We went with Savannah and the two of them together were so adorable. Nicci and Matt also joinded us and I think the adults had just as much fun if not more. When we came back with the girls, David hung out outside the house and scared a few of the neighborhood kids. I think he even got kicked a couple times. After this year, we have decided that we all need to dress up next year. I love this time of year and Halloween is so much more exciting now with Jaiden.
Ok, this is a little random and off of last nights adventures, but I have to share it with everyone. It was so cute. David and I finished carving pumkins Wed. night while Jaiden was asleep. When she got up on Thursday she saw them for the first time. I set her on the counter facing them and proceeded to get breakfast ready. I could hear her saying "Hi" "Hi" and when I turned around to look here she was trying to talk with them. I had to laugh it was so cute!
She amazes us everyday!
