Just Waiting!

Finally some updated pictures. Things here have been a little crazy which is normal for our house I think. David has been crazy busy at work and working a lot of nights so Jaiden and I have gotten a lot of bonding time....I love every minute of it even the challenges that come along with all of it. We started potty training about 2 months ago and so far we are totally in big girl panties except at night. I am so proud of her! She is excited to be a big sister for the time being. She has become a little more interested in what's going on although I am not quite sure she completely understands it to the full extent. Do to the darn swine flu she won't be able to meet her new brother until we bring him home. It sucks, but if it keeps her from getting it or him then we are all better off. We are also only allowed 4 guests up at the hospital and they have to be listed prior to the birth. I understand where they are coming from and trying to keep all the babies and mom's safe. I have been working and am planning on working up until I have him so that the 12 weeks I have off are spent with him and Jaiden.
As you can see below we made our first camping trip at the end of summer. We both had to work Saturday of Labor day weekend so we only went up Sunday-Monday, but it was so much fun! We packed the car up and went to a place about an hour away called Wellington Lake. David fished alittle with no luck and then we just enjoyed the peace and quiet and not having any obligations. Jaiden loved it. I think the air mattress in the tent was her favorite activity. The night was a bit cold and I think we both were a little happy to see the sun come up the next morning as it was alittle restless night. We decided after that trip we definitely are going back camping. Now we just need a few better camping supplies.
My mom surprised me a few weeks ago for a surprise baby shower David threw me. I knew my sister was coming, but had no idea my mom was going to be here. It was the best surprise ever!! We had a very nice weekend and the party was really great! Minus the fact David had a beer bottle blow up in his hand and ended up having to get stitches right before the whole thing started. He did a great job! and now we are a lot more prepared for a boy in the house. Everything we had was girl stuff.....so he was going to be wearing a lot of pink! Thanks to everyone who came and work he has some boy colors now.
Not much else is going on here. We are just playing the waiting game now. We are starting to get ready for Halloween which I will post those pictures next. Jaiden is going to Minnie Mouse and seems to be very excited about it. We will see if I can get her into her costume when the time comes. I will keep you all posted.

Summer Catch Up

Wow, It's been a very long time and there is so much to catch up on. We have had a very busy summer but it's been really great. Time is flying and fall is right around the corner. I keep thinking I am busy now, but come October I think it's going to be crazy! I at least am not going to have to throw work into the mix for at least 3 months after the baby is born so that will help a little. We started our summer out by taking a mini trip to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Kelley, David's little brother joined us and I think for the most part we all had a great time. Jaiden loved the beach and every morning would ask if we could go see the ocean for the day. She also became very brave on this trip. She would go out in the water up to her neck and just dive in. No fear on her part, but it about gave me a heart attack.
In July we started the month off with Fireworks and some of David's family from Texas visiting us. Jaiden thought the fireworks were so "Pretty". I would say "Oh wow, cool" and she would say "No mommy they are pretty!" Shortly after, David and her went on a trip to Wyoming and Montana in honor of his grandmother. It was the first time for me to be away from her over night and they didn't have cell service. Nothing like being completely being broke in right away. They had a great time and Jaiden loved playing with her cousins. She actually came back and had about 30 minutes where she had nothing to do with me. It was a heartbreaking, but the tables always turn and now she won't let anyone else put her to bed if I am around. I guess we all have our moments. We spent the next weekend celebrating Jon Erik's (David's youngest cousin from TX) birthday at the Renaissance Festival. It was very interesting and fun. Jaiden, Savannah, Acasha and I rode an elephant. The girls were a little intimidated to begin with and actually not very sure of what we were doing on this gigantic animal. Our last weekend in July my sister and her family spent the weekend with us. We spent one day at Waterwold which is always alot of fun! Jaiden loves to be in the water and go down some of the slides. She has so much fun with her cousins and it's so nice to have them around for her to play with.

In August, we traveled back to Wyoming to see my parents and family. My mom and dad hosted a wedding reception at their house which turned out to be really nice. We took David up into the area where I grew up camping and were able to show him a little of the area that can be accessed now. I thought we might get to do some fishing, but we left that day without the poles. The next 2 days we prepared for the event and on Saturday we got to see alot of my relatives and great friends. The only thing I wish differently would be to be able to visit more with more people there.....otherwise it was really nice...Thank you Mom and Dad! Jaiden and my niece Adelie spent a lot of time together while we were there which is good as we don't get to see her very often. She was alittle unsure about her uncle Chris, but the night before we left he was her best friend. Jaiden actually got up on the horse while we were there and loved it. She had been asking all summer long to ride a horse. I kept telling her we would get to ride one when we went to Grandma and Papa's house and once we got there she was so excited to go out and see them. We started her birthday celebration in Wyoming and continued it into the next weekend. It's so amazing how fast time flies. It seems like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. She has grown into this wonderful little girl with such a great mind and loving personality. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and all she kept saying was a "Princess Cake and balloons" so easy to please at this age. Our weekend was packed full of events. It started off with her sleeping in her new room and "big girl" bed. We are so lucky, it was a very smooth transition. A few sleepless moments and a couple of crashes on the ground, but now we are completely converted. Her actual birthday day David and I both took off and spent the day with Jaiden. That evening David's family came over and we had dinner and cupcakes and she opened so many fun presents. On Saturday a few of her friends came over for a backyard pool party! She had so much fun, and it was great to get to see her interact with each one of them. Her dad caught her kissing one of the boys on her tower, I guess breaking him in early! The next day we celebrated Faith's birthday with another water party. I think the poor little thing was wasted by Sunday night, I know I was. She is so funny now too, when you bring up someone else's birthday she says "No it's my birthday." I guess everyday is her birthday.
We now are spending the rest of our summer time preparing for our newest addition. Jaiden is adamant we are naming him "Firework". Hopefully she doesn't know something we don't. David is crazy busy at work which can be a good and bad thing. I am crazy at work trying to get prepared for a 3 month break and then together we are trying to get the house done as much as possible. My belly and everything else for that matter continue to grow very large. I am measuring about a week ahead of schedule. The doctor states it could just mean I am going to have a large baby or I could go early...I like to think the later of the two. Early would be just fine with me. We will start preparing for Halloween too which is one of my favorite times of year! I asked Jaiden the other day what she wanted to be and of course after a few options I threw out she told me she wants to be a "Princess". I am excited to take her shopping and see what we come up with....I will keep you posted.
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoy the photos. Someday I will get better at this. I started to blog last weekend, but it was coming up backwards so I had to start over. The pictures are in that order and most of them look a lot more blurry then the actual picture on the computer and I am really not sure why..,...Owell enjoy

Hogan and Jaiden

These were taken during one of our training sessions with David's iphone so they are a little blurry. She was very excited to see him. When he got hurt a couple weeks ago her and I had to take him to the vet. When the vet took him back she cried "I want my puppy!" I think at this point it's sort of a love hate relationship, but it's good.

It's been a longgggg time!

Below: Jaiden was having a tea party last night.Needless to say we had more tea on the counter then in the cup, but she was so cute to watch and so proper. She made sure and share with all of us and when Hacha showed up she was all about showing him her party set.

Below: Jaiden in her pool (Hogan has since ate the giraffe:( ) She was looking so stylish in her swim cover up!

Below: Her and Papa were racing up and down the yard. She was having a great time dragging him everywhere. Sorry about the finger print on the picture....I didn't catch it for a few pictures.

Happy Birthday Daddy and uncle Derek! We had a great poker party with with Acasha and then went to the Rio on their actual birthday.

Below: Jaiden and her cousins Jackson and Carter dying eggs. Jaiden ended up dying Jackson more then the eggs, but we all had a great time. Due to weather we had an Easter egg hunt in the house. Jaiden found eggs all week long that were left behind.

Update:
Sorry for those of you looking for pictures or updates. Life has been crazy at the King residence. We are all so busy just making it through our day, trying to get as much finished on the house, working, spending quality time together you know all those good things that a part of everyone's life. So here are a few of our updates and I hope all is well with everyone.
Jaiden is getting so big! She will be 2 in August and man is she a sassy sue! She has started speaking in full sentences and I am pretty sure we are starting to see some of the terrible 2's although she is not so terrible. She is now singing her full ABC's and counting to 10 which is pretty amazing. Everything we say she repeats which is not always the best. Especially when we are shopping at Hobby Lobby and she starts saying "Oh Sh** Oh Sh** at the top of her lungs. I think I about passed out. Last week she got her first bed and she was so excited. Her favorite stuffed animal is a minnie mouse a friend of mine bought her when she was a baby. When the bed arrived that morning she went and got minnie and whispered "Come see my new bed Minnie!" Now everyone who comes to the house gets to see it. She hasn't started sleeping in it yet, but hopefully soon. She is very interested in it, but the room really isn't set up. She has a huge heart too. Last night while playing she would not let me sit on her bed. I started the fake cry and she ran over to me and said "I kiss it better mommy" then she allowed me on her bed. She is totally a Daddy's girl. We had about 2 weeks in there where she wanted nothing to do with me which broke my heart. It has finally turned around and she is back to wanting just me to do certain things and just David to do certain things. All together in the last few months she has just become this little grown up girl. I just love her so much and have so much fun being around her and watching her grow.
Hogan is also getting to be a moose. We sent him away to a 3 week boot camp, and he is so much more enjoyable to be around. Jaiden also loves him and loves to get in his bed or in his crate with him. Her new favorite thing is to take his leash and drag him around (more like he drags her around) and give him commands. It's so cute and funny to watch. We have had a couple trips to the vet. One pretty serious which made us make some changes to the house. He almost cut his foot off on the edging around the yard...poor baby! As the vet said, "thankfully him and not Jaiden as he will heal a lot faster then she would" Everyday is a process and we have to work with him, but it's a lot better then before.
Work has really picked up for David thankfully! It was a little nerve racking there for a while. It's good but stressful for him. He has been busy helping me around the house trying to get lots done. I think our list continues to get longer and longer each week. He has done so many wonderful things for me around here and is a wonderful husband. Other then being crazy at work and at home he is doing really well.
I guess I follow in Jaiden and Hogan's shoes and just keep getting bigger and bigger! I have been alot more active this round of pregnancy, but those dang pounds just keep coming. We found out 2 weeks ago that the baby is definitly a boy. So all those cute girl clothes will have to go at least for now. We are excited and nervous all at the same time more about the adjustment of having 2 then anything. I am sure it will all go great. Work has gotten crazy for me as well. David and I booked a week vacation for next week which will be a nice getaway for all 3 of us. We are also heading back to Wyoming in July/Aug as my parents are throwing us a wedding reception. I am so looking forward to the trip home.
I am sure there is a ton more that has occured in the last few months, but of course when you wait that long to update everyone you tend to leave a bunch out. I hope you all enjoy the pictures. They are a mixture of events. My parents came out a few different times and this weekend Hacha has been staying with us as you can see in the pictures. Enjoy!
